In 2022, in tourist accommodation establish-ments located in the 27 countries of the Euro-pean Union 926.1 million people were accom-modated, with 2.7 billion overnight stays pro-vided to them. Compared to 2021, both the number of tourists and the number of over-night stays provided to them increased - by 56.8% and 50.1% respectively.
