This publication presents basic statistical data on births, deaths, population growth and migration of population. The information were given by voivodships, powiats and gminas located in border area of Polish eastern border as well as areas located on individual border sections. Tabular presentation of data are preceded by methodological explanations and analytical comments supported by graphics.

The publication highlights information concerning, among other things, demographic situation, environmental protection, labour market, education, municipal infrastructure, marketplaces, public finance and entities of the national economy. Making comparisons is facilitated by indicators presented in the tabular part as well as by maps and graphs.
